Here will be a small section of information about the film. Information like the director, running time, cast and certificate rating will be shown.
The actual film review will begin here. In these paragraphs the review will include details on the plot of the film. It may include some quotes from the directors and cast involved in the short.

The images below represent the steps taken to plan and create our film poster.

This was stage 1 of creating our short film poster. I decided to use this image because i felt it was a strong image as a lot of information can be seen from the poster which i felt was eye catching. I also decided to edit the film name poster into different positions on the poster and felt that the film title being on the right side was effective as it can be seen clearly. I used a white font because it can be clearly seen in comparison to black font.
I edited the position of the title to see how it looked across the image. I felt that the position was in a bold position as it is the middle of the image however I felt it took away from the image. I say this because it could have been more centre but also the audience are not able to see the image as a whole which I wanted. I also included information such as actors name and director and producer however i fetl with this idea, it has a lot of writing in one corner which is a not a strength. The release date has been included at the top of the poster. This is vital information however it needs information beside it because it looks out of place. The font in comparison to the first one is 'Impact' and potrays the title of the film very well. Through the image you are able to see the protagonist which was wanted to make clear to our audience.

With this film poster, i decided to change the image as the lighing of the image wasn't working with the text . This image came from a significant scene in the short film and we felt it showed a different side to the charcaters. The title has been moved to the left of the poster and in a small fon in comparison to the the first two drafts. The releases date is underneath it which doesnt make it look awkward and through research of film posters, the releasr date is normally near other informaiton on the poster for example the poster. This was a good convention of a film poster. The text is all at the bottom. I felt this imagee was strong however, the writing has to be reviewed as i feel the text takes away from the image, and i wanted the image to be the main focus. Also through the image you are not able to clearly establish who is the protagonist which is confusing to the audience. The title font i would have preferred it to be larger to make it more bold. I knew elements of the film poster needed to be edited as a new image needed to be used for the film poster to go well with the title of the film.
After carefully analysing the images we had to choose from for our short film poster i decided to have a seperate photoshoot with our cast members and this photo is the one i felt was appropriate for our short film. I began to edit this image and referring back to the conventions of a short film poster.

I decided to edit the background of the image. I felt that the background potrayed the feelings felt through out the short film. However i decided that the black background didnt add anything effective to the poster and the natural lighting from the image worked well with the image.

The image was edited on photoshop. I carefully added a dark cloud on Camerons side to convey his emotions. A tagline was also included on this film poster which was not included on the previous drafts. The lighting in this image and the font size all go well together and portray the various emotions through out the film which is shown on the image. The realse date and producers names need to be added on to the poster.
The film poster also has infrormation of where it will be screened which is eyecatching which lets them know where they can view the short film which is informative.
After receiving audience feedback on the film poster at its half way stage , i received feedback on where the release date was located and it should be bigger in a different position.I edited the release date at the bottom on the left but it being underneath the film title was appropriate. Less text was included on the film poster and it was in the corner which still can be easily read by people.

Final product.

This shows the different stages on how we completed our short film poster. It made us evaluate what conventions we wanted to include in the film poster but also eliminate unwanted information which helped us complete the film poster.
